There are currently about 33.2 million people living with HIV and 2.5 million of which are children. Around half of all the people infected with HIV are infected before the time they reach 25 and are killed by AIDS before they are 35. Today, December 1st is World AIDS Day. World AIDS Day is about raising money, increasing awareness, and fighting prejudices. Most importantly World AIDS Day strives to improve education and remind people that HIV has not gone away and that there are many ways people can help. For more information click here.
