Work. Not somewhere you go, but something you do. An interesting article about the new approach to work at Best Buy has me thinking, that this could help a lot of people go about their day to day business but with a little more flexibility and less stress.

Best Buy uses the acronym ROWE or Results-Only Work Environment, to increase the efficiency of their workers. This theory evolved out of the concept of the worker being able to exercise the freedom of doing whatever they want, whenever they want, as long as the work gets done. This means the order of tasks completed is up to the worker, and the time they arrive or leave work as long as they finish their work by the deadline.

Organizers of ROWE at Best Buy believe that this could work in both small and large companies…to read the article click here.

work something you do rather than somewhere you go is a very inspiring concept. it suggests that one enjoys what they are doing. i like ROWE but i truly believe that it can only be successful if employees have impeccable work ethics.
