A culture gap is the difference between desired and actual values and behaviors. Some techniques leaders might use to influence and change cultural values is to lead by example, pay close attention to others and initiate change based on legitimate concerns that will eventually serve the interests of the company. The other thing they can do is strongly express the values of the company so people are aware about where they stand within the organization and know that they are appreciated and their work is taken seriously.
