We’ve all been in the awkward situation of not remembering someone’s name. It is at the tip of our tongues, but for whatever reason it can not come to our brain soon enough. As a leader you need to be able find some technique that works for you about how to remember names. Remembering someone’s name is a simple way of saying “you’re important” because it is very respectful especially in the business world to be introduced to someone and immediately be able to introduce them to someone else. Do what works best for you, but in case you are in search of a new strategy, try the following. Look and listen, study the person and to get a mental image, and listen clearly to the name and repeat it back to them. Repeat the name silently to yourself a few times, and try to use the name in conversation.
