Positive thinking can have a lot to do with optimizing your health. Positive thinking may help to decrease negative stress, help guard against catching a cold, reduce the risk of coronary artery disease, help your breathing, and may even help you develop better coping skills during hardships. The theory is that having a positive outlook enables you to cope better with stressful situations, which in turn can reduce harmful health effects of stress on your body.
