From the last post on how important a resume and cover letter can be to getting your foot in the door for a new position now it is time to look at your interview skills. Landing an interview is an accomplishment in itself, and it means your potential employer sees potential in you- but the job isn’t yours yet you’ve got to ace the interview. Plan ahead; know what you’re going to wear and exactly how to get there. Research the employer, this demonstrates your strong interest in the position and the company overall. Think about possible questions and prepare some answers. Be on time, keep positive, and ask questions. Interviews can be learning experiences regardless of the outcome. You'll have a better sense of what to do - and what not to do - the next time.
